Mercy Teams  Christmas Gift Box Project has a unique way of touching the lives of the most neglected of children, those who experience little love and happiness in their broken world.

Children often experience exploitation and abuse, and the joy of receiving a GIFT BOX full of an amazing variety of simple, toys or goodies, is gratitude personified.

Mercy Teams  Christmas Gift Boxes are  distributed to children who are already known to us thru our Counselling programs, Psychotherapy and intervention programs, and our  Daycare centres,  Kindergartens and Schools. The children are from a variety of backgrounds and distribution follows a non-discriminatory policy, irrespective of race, religion, or ethnicity.

Among many other places Gift Boxes are distributed to Mercy Teams programs in Indonesia, Myanmar with the Cyclone Nargis families, Thailand-Burma Border Mon and Karen refugees who attend our village school  and Cambodia Project Freedom for victims of Child abuse, and our village Kindergarten in Kampong Speu province in Cambodia.

In some countries, where our Teams are free to share the Christmas story in a creative presentation with stories and dramas, the Christmas Gift Box is a happy closure to the village program.

Coordination of the Gift Boxes is thru Mercy Teams Headquarters in Singapore and has been running since 2004.

Generally our Gift Box is no bigger than a shoebox and include specific gender gifts for Boys and Girls. We encourage participants to spend up to $US20 per Box on the contents. It costs appro

No second hand goods are put in  the Box, nor are perishable goods such as chocolate or sweets. 

Some suggestions for your involvement:

1. Make this a family project. Go shopping together with the list. Encourage children to fill the Gift Box, and pray for the child receiving it. Fill ONE GIFT BOX for each family member..

2. If you are a school teacher, do it as a class project.

3. If you wish to give CASH towards the FREIGHT, FOOD, PARTY, or MILK PROGRAM, that is most welcome. Just refer to our DONATIONS page for further information.

4. Businesses, clubs, kindergartens, schools are all invited to participate.

5. If you have a Business contact that wishes to donate suitable goods, for the GIFT BOX, that is also welcome. We use these as Box fillers where some are a little empty.

6. Please note that all GIFT BOXES are repacked in our Singapore Warehouse. This allows for standard sizes and an even spread of Gifts to each child.
